To celebrate the 15th edition of Splash and Dash this year we are introducing Stationary Bikes to our race format of running and swimming.
Sarah’s determination to beat this life-threatening illness three times in her young life has inspired many people to help others who are facing the same struggle. It is an honor and a privilege for me to chair Splash & Dash this year, as we begin our second decade and continue the legacy of a young girl’s vision to help other children.
Countless volunteers, corporations, students and families have come together as runners, swimmers, sponsors and donors to Splash & Dash. Thanks to their efforts and generosity, Splash and Dash has raised nearly $1.95 million for Sarah’s Fund for Cedars since its inception.
Our focus this year is to support vital programs and services to improve the lives of young cancer patients on the hematology/oncology ward of The Children’s, known as “Sarah’s Floor” and including all the patients in the hospital, and their families, at the Montreal Children`s Hospital.
My family will be participating this year in memory of a loved one along with other participants who have also lost family members and friends to this terrible disease. Our Heroes and Celebrity Relay is a celebration and encouragement to those who are battling their fight against cancer.
I welcome everyone from participants to volunteers and guests to be part of our Splash & Dash family and hope you will join us for a fun-filled day on our journey to end cancer.
